Emilie de Vlam main influences are body weather, euritmie and butoh; she also studied sociology and anthropology. As an artist she seeks for a rooted and rough body presentation; she is obsessed by influence and context in art creation, the nature of exchange and the dynamics of symbiosis, permeability. Emilie organizes workshops and performances within her artistic platform 'MA' , based in Ghent.

Workshop

The doxa of a word is the meaning that it has, but also the meaning that it inherits or hides.

This doxa workshop/showing/reading looks at how words incite movement but do not own the consequent movement world they bring into being. My questions: How can the power of the word and the movement interact, and how does paradox work therein?

This workshop gives the possibility to distract, to not know where it goes, and at the same time gives the experience of a quintessential process of becoming.
